George Walton Academy
 George Walton Academy is a college preparatory school that offers grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. It has over 130 faculty and staff members with a ratio of one professional staff member to each seventeen students. They offer regular curriculum classes, honors classes, and twelve different AP courses. The school has nearly 900 students in K5- 12th grades from Walton, Newton, Rockdale, Morgan,Gwinnett, Clarke, DeKalb, and Barrow counties. George Walton is governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Trustees and is a member of the Southern Association of Independent Schools, Georgia Independent School Association and Georgia High School association (Region 8A). Student Involvement

George Walton has many ways students can get involved at the school through arts, athletics,and clubs.  George Academy has an excellent arts program. Students have the opportunity to join chorus, band, drama, or AP art. Outside of the arts program, George Walton has a highly competitive and successful Athletic Program. There are over 13 different sports teams:
basketball,football,volleyball,soccer,softball,tennis, baseball, swimming, golf, wrestling, track and field, and cross country. Come out an enjoy Friday night football in the fall with GWA's alumni, students, parents, friends, and faculty and staff. GWA takes pride in offering a wide range of clubs and
organizations.
GWA takes pride in offering a wide range of clubs and organizations. These groups provide a forum for students to practice important concepts outside of the classroom. There are over 18 different clubs.Many of these clubs are open to anyone. However, others are selected by invitation only.
