This month the number of home sales rose to 5.6 million per the National Association of REALTORS. The national median home price decreased from $229,000 down to $222,000. That is down 2.9% and something to keep in mind is that pricing is still up 6.1% from this same time last year. Home values have increased over the past year and are expected to rise approximately 4% next summer. The national average for a 30 year fixed rate mortgage is down from 3.91% to 3.79%.
